well, portfolio is due in four days and i’m pretty much pulling my hair out.
i’ve had no time to shoot anything creative, so i’m going to post one of my self directed images for my portfolio.
for this image i used the octobank for the first time. i was nervous about how the lighting would turn out at first, but i ended up really liking the image after i’d edited it. i’m going to tweak it a bit more before i put in in my portfolio, but this is pretty much what it’s all about. the concept for this image comes from the city and colour song “little hell”. the lyrics are “from my haunted past comes a daunting task of living through memories.” this photograph represents something really personal for me, as do all of my final portfolio images.

the model is my lovely, lovely friend morgan. she’s going to be in my portfolio two years in a row, i just love how pretty she is. she also plays saxophone in kraken the case. they’re super dope, you need to check them out.

i’ve promised myself that this summer i’m going to work really hard on perfecting my personal style of photography, so keep checkin’ back for images throughout the summer!

also, i’d like to say thank you to the entire photog fam for making the last two years beyond amazing. i can’t believe we’re done. i really never thought this moment would come. i know you’re all going to go out into the world and do wonderful things and i am genuinely so excited for each and every one of you. you’re all amazing people and i am so glad to have had the privilege to know you all. keep in touch; teachers too! ❤
